Alison
Alison is our fully qualified chartered accountant (ACA) having trained with Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC) Nottingham, one of the world's leading accountancy businesses in 1998. Alison has worked with several high profile clients from Saint Gobain Pipelines through to Interflora flowers while at PWC before joining Acordis, one of the world's major producers of man-made fibres as their senior management accountant looking after £1.2 billion of turnover. Alison delivers for SWA a mix of consultancy, coaching and training services based around areas such as financial accounting, management accounts, information systems, year end statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and SAGE training and system building for clients.
Andy
Andy is an IT Specialist with proven teaching and technical skills gained during the 24 years he has worked within the IT industry. Andy brings a wealth of knowledge to SWA, combining a unique, friendly and focussed training style with the ability to recognise the skill levels of the delegates and to tailor the training to meet each delegate's specific requirements.
Ben
Ben is a professional systems analyst and highly experienced IT trainer with a wealth of practical experience. With over 5 years experience and knowledge in key areas of Microsoft he has worked with smaller SME's right through to PLC's, developing employees skills and creating bespoke database applications for specific business situations. Ben's creative, professional and structured approach brings added value to every training session, helping people and businesses reach their potential.
Bob
Bob MCIPD, MInstAM (DIP) is a successful management coach and organisational adviser. He is also a registered adviser and assessor for Investors in People and a member of the Institute of Business Consulting. Bob specialises in people development, management coaching, client training and development. He has provided support to over 100 organisations to achieve the Investors in People Standard and has also provided coaching and mentoring to a significant number of CEO's/ MDs and their teams nationally. He has managed the delivery of a range of Government and EU funded workforce development contracts.
David David has over 18 years experience as a sales professional. Having gained his 'wings' selling photocopiers - one of the toughest and most competitive sales environments - David moved into the IT industry selling high value, long lead time enterprise - wide business systems to industry. David progressed through the industry culminating in a senior position selling at board level to multi-billion dollar global organisations primarily in the automotive suply chain. David now delivers sales training, communication skills training and sales coaching to companies of all sizes.
Helen
Helen has nearly 20 years experience in the training field and has worked at senior levels in the public and private training sector. After a period working in further education with significant involvement in the development of work-based vocational training, she has been responsible for the development of new qualifications standards, CPD and mentor programmes, involving interaction with Government and regulatory bodies, major employers and both public and private training providers. For over 5 years Helen's role has focused on national leadership and management programmes to the public sector. Throughout her career, Helen has continued to directly deliver training as well as developing a reputation for her expertise on the quality assurance of training. Helen is a fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, acts as an External Verifier for them, holds accreditations and qualifications in management training and development and coaching and mentoring.
Jayne
Jayne MCIPD, is a successful management trainer with over 20 years experience in the service sector. Jayne continues to work with a variety of small, medium and large organisations developing bespoke and accredited management and leadership solutions. Jayne specialises in developing the confidence and skills of inexperienced managers and team leaders, empowering them to make a difference in their own organisations. Jayne is a highly successful ILM deliverer. Her style focuses on practical workable solutions to the typical problems managers face on a daily basis.
Jonathan
Jonathan is our management system specialist, he offers SWA a wealth of experience covering almost every industry in the UK and overseas. In the early part of his 20 plus year consultancy career, Jonathan was pivotal in revolutionising the way management standards were applied to businesses, simply by using flowcharts. His success has been complimented by invitations to both speak at many conferences and undertake senior management training programmes throughout the world. Recognised as an instigator of many cutting edge techniques, Jonathan holds many national and world first's for the implementation of differing business solutions, for example; he lead the first aerospace & aviation company in the world to achieve ISO9001, also the first integrated system ISO9001 & ISO14001 without issue or observation within a health service organisation, the list goes on… Jonathan helps SWA to deliver tailored management system solutions to exceed our customer requirements. His focus is on our "Customers Success", and by making our customers succeed, Jonathan and SWA invariably succeed.
Leila
SIA (Security Industry trainer) and CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) qualified, is a highly experienced trainer and qualified Environmental and Health & Safety professional. Leila holds a wealth of experience in the field of security and Health & safety; she is a qualified First Aid instructor, door supervisor trainer and licence holder. Leila delivers high quality consultancy and training for SWA's client base of businesses and not for profit organisations throughout the UK. Leila uses a very hands-on approach to work with clients; really understanding their needs in health and safety combined with her excellent communication skills, which ensure clients fully benefit from the work she delivers for them. Leila has developed considerable expertise in working with disabled people at work in the fields of care and security, achieving an internal verifier for Learning Disability Qualification (LDQ).
Lisa
Lisa (MMPA) is a professional Payroll Consultant with over 20 years of experience in the payroll field and working for blue chip companies. Lisa specialises in setting up and training on payroll and book-keeping systems for any size of business and any sector. Her expertise is in explaining complex issues in a way that everyone can understand.
Lucy
Lucy is an experienced highly motivated trainer with over 20 years experience in the service sector. Previously a college lecturer Lucy has a post 16 training certificate plus a Certificate in Education. An exciting and entertaining presenter, Lucy has presented to many organisations on a wide range of management and development topics. Lucy has varied training experience working with large corporate organisations as well as small local businesses. She has good organisational skills and strives to produce a lively and interactive training environment. Known for her instinctive way with people, she is quick to establish positive relationships and her enthusiasm is second to none. She is a passionate and dynamic character in improving customer service culture for our customers.
Nick
Nick MCIPD is a successful management trainer with over 25 years experience of developing bespoke management and leadership programmes for organisations in both the public and private sector. He has been accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) for 14 years and is qualified to deliver their level 2/3/5 programmes. He encourages team leaders and inexperienced managers to identify practical solutions to the problems they face in their own working environment.
Nickie
Nickie is our specialist employment law solicitor with over 5 years post qualified experience. With the onslaught of employment law legislation over the past 10 years, no employer can afford to remain ignorant of employee rights and potential claims. Nickie's focus is on providing workshop style training that puts HR/employment law into a practical context for managers and other employees.Nickie believes "Employees don't just need to know the law, they need to understand how it affects their organisation. "
Richard
Richard FCIM, MCIM, DipM and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing CIM is a successful business builder and highly experienced trainer with a wealth of practical experience. With over eighteen years experience and knowledge in the field of sales and marketing he has worked with with some of the biggest companies in the world and some of the smallest making them more effective by creating and promoting a successful sales and marketing cultures within them. Richard's expertise is in creating value for people at every training session, which sets him apart in his field.
Rob
Rob has over 25 years Sales and Marketing experience, He started 'on the road' and progressed to hold a number of management positions. He has worked primarily in the travel and hospitality sectors and has experience in telecommunications and marketing services. Rob is also a qualified teacher and so not surprisingly he has been involved in training throughout his working life. Currently, he specialises in the training of inbound telesales staff helping to increase sales and improve customer service. His objective is to develop a culture of sales maker rather than simply order taker.
Robin
Robin, M inst LM, AIIRSM, ARSPH, NAEMT is SWA's highly experienced and qualified environmental and Health & Safety professional. He delivers high quality consultancy and training to a varied client base of businesses and not for profit organisations throughout the UK. With over 14 years experiece Robin has the ability to get management buy-in to understand the importance of a safe and environmentally friendly working culture. Understanding the needs of a business or organisation and designing a programme to meet these needs is where Robin provides real value to all of his sessions. Ruth
Ruth FRSA has over 15 years legal experience starting her career at the Bar in Birmingham in 1991. She specialises in providing tailored solutions in the field of HR and employment law for small to medium sized businesses, emphasising the practical aspects of effective HR management. Ruth has the ability to ensure delegates are confident in recognising and addressing issues of legal compliance whilst balancing the needs of the business in a practical commercial context. Ruth is currently President of the Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce and a Fellow of the RSA.
Vernon
Vernon has worked within the Human Resource profession for over twenty years including at Director level. He has a wealth of experience not only in HR and Training matters but he has a strong business acumen gained from running several businesses, he can therefore give advice and coaching on HR issues with a pragmatic, business oriented focus. As well as dealing with day to day human resource issues he has the ability to think strategically for both large and small businesses. He holds a Diploma in Personnel Management accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in addition he has a City and Guilds Teachers certificate. He has worked with large companies like Argos, Homebase, THF and Carphone Warehouse and smaller companies as well as many trade associations. This breadth of exposure gives him the ability to deal with a wide range of business sectors from SMEs through to large corporate and public organisations.
